Shit happens?

“Whosoever is in the heavens and on earth begs of Him (its needs from Him). Every day He has a matter to bring forth (such as giving honour to some, disgrace to some, life to some, death to some, etc.).

Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?”

(Ar-Rahman 29-30)

Yet we deny. Through our acts, through our beliefs, through our thoughts or through every single thing. Allah SWT has endowed so many favors on majority of us that we fail to look down at those who may not be as privileged.

For many days, I felt like I had no purpose in my life. I had depressive thoughts and a point came when I started thinking that except the fact that I find serenity and calm in the word of Allah SWT, there is nothing in this life. Death made sense to me but life didnt. I used to pray and I would get that calmness in me but after a while it would wear off. Today, while at work I encountered something that made me change everything I was previously thinking about my life in general.

A girl came to be seen at our office, she not only suffered from severe ADHD but also with down syndrome and God knows what else.  Minutes had passed by and she flipped out or you can say.. she had an attack.  It got really bad so we had to call 911 for assistance and when they arrived, she was yelling and crying like crazy. She had to get strapped to a stretcher and what not because of the tantrum that she was throwing. I just saw a bit of it and left as the atmosphere was too intense for me to take it all in. That girl out there didnt know what was going wrong, she didnt even know what problems did she suffer from. Heck as far as she could think, what she was doing was normal. Allah SWT then made me realize something that I couldnt understand for the past few days.

While I cursed my life and my problems in general, there was this girl who would do anything to be in my place just to have a normal thought process. To be able to understand things like any normal person would and not go through heavy sedation and tonnes of medicines to function “normally” .  MY problems and my life couldnt be so worse than what that kid was going through, if Allah SWT had wanted , He would have made me in her place and He can anytime since I am so ungrateful most of the time. But He didnt, He gave me everything I want and whatever I need. He gave me things I dont deserve but yet He did for what reason I dont know but I do know that one of its because he is Ar-Rahman, the Most merciful! Yet we also have people who claim “Shit happens” or “Life screws us all” type stuff to say.. think about it the next time you meet a disabled person and compare your problems to him/her.

Allah SWT has made some of us healthy while some of us sick, so that the healthy would take heed from the sick and thank Allah SWT the way He should be thanked and to give to those who are in need. Those who are sick or suffer from illnesses is not because Allah SWT does not love them or He chose to do discrimination .. astaghfirullah. No, as much as my limited thoughts can think its because there are signs for the intellectual and those to reflect and to create the level of humanity. We are made to help each other in any way possible, if everyone was healthy and had a perfect life and there wont be sorrows or difficulties, there wont be any test and there wont be any purpose of living a life in this world.

May Allah SWT make our difficulties easier and make us amongst those who reflect and give thanks. Ameen!

Going against the norm.

‎”Those who believed (in the Oneness of Allah – Islamic Monotheism) and emigrated and strove hard and fought in Allah’s Cause with their wealth and their lives are far higher in degree with Allah. They are the successful.” Surah Tawbah ayat 20

Have I really done the right thing? I mean, majority of them are disagreeing with what I just mentioned, does that mean im wrong in my beliefs? Maybe i am wrong at some point..

.While such thoughts kept occurring in my head, i came across this ayat I mentioned in the beginning. This ayah of the Qur’an today brought me relief, comfort and gave me yet another reason to appreciate Allah SWT’s blessings on mankind. It is true that when a man looks for answers, he just needs to have the open heart to accept the possibility of coming across that answer that may or may not be compatible with his desires. He just accepts them because there is wisdom in the words of Allah SWT.

It has always been easy preaching people to stand up for the right thing even if it is hard. It sounded even more blissful when I came across random quotes on justice and equality. But I never really got to experience it until lately, when I defied majority of views and stood up for what I truly believed in. The result? Not positive, since when have people been able to differentiate between truth and falsehood correctly? . Being called names and receiving hurtful messages and being insulted amongst people is not what anyone has in mind, as emotionally challenging it is, it is even more beautiful when you do it out of love for Allah SWT.  My comofrt and solace came in the verses of the Quran and my ideal in this situation lied in the beautiful example of Uthman Ibn Affan.

Uthman ibn Affan (R.A) sacrificed his life for the sake of Islam’s superiority to remain. To not give in to fitnah (tribulations/trouble creators) and get martyred in honorable blood. Uthman ibn affan was asked to give up his Caliphate in exhange of his life and property, however, even with military options and services available, Uthman R.A denied. The prophet SAW had already predicted in his time about these things to occur in uthman ibn Affan’s time and when they did happen it was not easy. Yet the patience and wisdom with which Hazrat Uthman dealt this, became my ideal.

It is true that standing up for justice and against falsehood is emotionally and physically challenging. But then again, sweetness of faith does not come till pure struggle. Anyone can claim to love Allah SWT, its our surprise tests that test us about our love for Him. Sometimes a person is always alone and degraded at every step for the right thing he/she is doing, but when Allah SWT has mentioned reward from such people then it is better to incurdispleasure of few people than of Allah SWT’s.

Did you thank Him today?

Two days ago, after years and months of waiting, I finally got an SLR camera.Approximately 7 months ago, our family got a house and whats more, i got a kitten. On november 14th 2011, I will be acknowledging 21 years of life with my complete family, perfect health and no major calamities in life inshAllah.

Most importantly I will be celebrating the fact that I was given everything when I had no power or ability. I did not even know what was good for me and what wasnt, yet here I am. I hope that inshAllah most of us will be saying the same thing. We all have a great life, okay small ups and downs come and go but MAJOR calamities?  Count your blessings, you will either forget em all or get tired but you wont be able to count them all. You wont be able to do justice either. To be alive is the greatest blessing and to be surrounded by a caring and loving family is another. To have a roof to live under and to have friends that have been relentlessly true and loyal. To have someone who loves you for who you are and takes joy in passing time with you forever is a treasure.

But if any of this, God forbids, gets taken away or all of it, how will our lives be? What will WE be? Think about it, dont we OWE some sort of gratitude or atleast a THANKYOU to the one who gives us all and asks for nothing but just a THANKYOU?  I mean today if someone does you a favour of lets say , getting you an autograph of your favorite celebrity, you will thank him/her so much or probably even pay or return that favor in anyway.. But the one who gives you all this i.e Allah SWT, He never asked for any favor in return. But we never thanked Him or even if we do, our actions on a general scale never reflect it. And when we get a problem in our life or face  a calamity, Satan ( Shaitan) asks us to question th every first thing ” why did God give us this trouble? Why us and not someone else?” The answer lies here
“Why should Allah punish you if you have thanked (Him) and have believed in Him. And Allah is Ever All-Appreciative (of good), All-Knowing.” Surah Nisa ayat 147.

Thats it guys, thank Him sincerely. Today all that you have will eventually be exhausted because its from Allah and to HIm is the return of all affairs and things. But you will never know the importance of the good things in your life till they are gone but if you want them to stay, you need to thank Allah SWT. I have one example:- Leaving Dubai. I sometimes feel I never thanked Allah SWT for the life I had in dubai and now when I dont live in Dubai I feel the importance of what I missed. I miss it specially in Ramadan when I lightly took the taravih( night prayers) for worship and didnt avail them to the maximum. I wish I had done that.. even though it was in my fate to come to US. Food for thought 🙂

O Allaah, You are my Lord, none has the right to be worshipped except You, You created me and I am You servant and I abide to Your covenant and promise as best I can, I take refuge in You from the evil of which I committed. I acknowledge Your favour upon me and I acknowledge my sin, so forgive me, for verily none can forgive sin except You.’

Limited offer.. can YOU make it to the top awesome people?

The 21st roza? Can you believe it? I dont know about y’all out there but I was just starting to get USED to the blissful atmosphere and now its going. Just 9 more fasts and this beautiful month of Ramadan will be gone for a year.I feel I achieved nothing and probably gained nothing till now. The time went by so quick and people were complaining about 16-17 hour fasts. Alhmdulillah I felt nothing and even if I did , I do not consider it worthy or that important to publicize it or go around telling people about my so called “awesome” effort in fasting. We should know our personal desires/feelings/emotions etc may seem important to us but in reality they mean less or nothing at all. Therefore analyze them before you consider them worthy.

But but but.. those lazy bums like me who really want to grab the limited offer available should try their level best to avail them AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.Last ashra ( last 10 days) and still ONE major goal to achieve i.e LAYL UT AL QADR aka the night of Power aka the night that is better than a thousand months aka AWESOME PACKAGE FOR ALL OF US OUT THERE!! So what are y’all waiting for? Grab your Qur’an, prayer mat, tasbih or book of duas and start searchin’!

Here are some tips I am going to work on, thought I’d share with my invisible readers too :p

a) STOP the usual things we  usually do i.e FBing for no reason all the time, thinking of what to make at iftar this fine evening, gossiping, wasting time in listening music, playing games etc. Concentrate on your resources that you have right now and make the best out of it. Like Adam smith once said Each man to its own, start accumulating all that you have to get ample forgiveness, rewards and forgiveness.
(Drag your family members too , dont just fall for adam smith’s penduness just cuz I said so :p )

b) Make a list of duas If you have a lot of duas like I do,even if they have to be the most random duas ever ( For ex : Allah SWT get me an SLR camera before my sister’s marriage ) jot it down or make a list. I have not thought of making my list yet because I have organizing issues but I think i will try to inshAllah. This will help you concentrate on your ibadah more.

c)Do NOT single out an odd night according to guesswork/lucky number-ness/randomness/”my mom said so”ness Yes exactly. It is a popular misconception that Layl ut al Qadr will be on the 27th. So we happen to see huge crowd (desis specially ) on this particular night. Come on guys.. rasulallah SAW never ever singled out which night , infact he encouraged us to search for it in the odd nights of the last ten days. How can you be so sure it is the 27th? The blessed night was found on the 25th too . Distinguish the night with proper knowledge from ahadith and do not let go of the other precious nights that lay ahead.

Narrated by ‘Aisha

Allah’s Apostle said, “Search for the Night of qadr in the odd nights of the last ten days of Ramadan.” Sahih Bukhari

d) Ask for Allah SWT’s forgiveness for yourself, your family, your friends– in this month when the doors of Paradise are open, wont it be a perfect opportunity for us muslims to pray like crazy to erase our names from the list of those who will enter Jahannam ( Hell fire)?  Wont it be  a perfect opportunity to ask Allah SWT to make our death easy for us, to widen our graves, to make us good muslims and to forgive our sins-big or small.

e) Enjoy & savour the blessings of this beautiful month– Truly, this month is like a guest. The days pass by so quickly and you wish you had done more. Do not limit your fasting to just being hungry but try to accomplish more. InshAllah, I will try to do it too. We should try to do as much as we can and try not to be amongst those who may regret [Allah forbids]. Do not waste time preparing for Eid now.. very very bad time :p You should have done it earlier, but if there is anything left try to do it as soon as possible and dont spend precious time on it.

So thats it people. Good luck with the treasure hunt 😉 May AllaH SWT forgive our sins and accept our worship and grant us Jannah Ameen. May Allah SWT make us amongst those who are exempted from the trials of the grave and the Hell fire. May AllaH SWT help us achieve the night of power Ameen.

14th August 2011…wounded pride but still alive!

Lets become green for today  Shall we :D? No im not being environmentally friendly,i am just happy to celebrate the 64th Independence day of Pakistan :)May Allah SWT bless my country, the country I love from the core of my heart. May Allah SWT make the coming days and years for pakistan so fruitful in everyway that in the end it becomes the greatest country in this world and in the Hereafter, Allah SWT is happy with the efforts of the people too Ameen.

I was not a crazy or a die hard Pakistani from day 1 but certain experiences and growing up with certain beliefs made me just love my country in a different way. I feel my love for my country different than many would.I dont want to sound so boastful but I know it is not for selfish reasons*does food count?* and I really wish that this kind of love was in the hearts of those running the country..On this 14th August 2011, I’d like to share a dream that I had a long time ago but I still have not forgotten it. As if it was some sort of a wakeup call for me as a Pakistani and more as a Muslim… maybe to bring reforms even if I were to be alone in this mission.

I saw that Qaid -e-Azam and I had to go and meet someone really important somewhere and the whole country was actually counting for us to meet them. And it was something really important that we had to discuss, so I went with Qaid e azam and knocked at the door of that important person. The door opened and that person asked us to go back and wait for anothertime to discuss because we ( i.e me and Baba e Qaum)did not make an appointment and thus we would have to wait.
Qaid-e-azam agreed and I asked him why did he do this? And he just said it wasnt right for us, we should have followed the proper procedure. ( may Allah SWT forgive me if anything was wrong in this but as far as I could remember this was the gist of my whole dream)

I woke up and for a few days I was so happy because i saw Qaid e azam!Someone whom all pakistanis idolize and keep talking about his supreme greatness for Pakistan and what not.But then i realized, the dream had a lot more to it than just watching the founder of Pakistan. It was the meaning..

I will not go into much details and I will not bring in the government . We know the government is pretty well NOT PAKISTANI but what about us? The citizens of pakistan? Lets take a few examples shall we 😉

  • a)The streets of pakistan– people throw away litter, throw their spit or paan juice or leave really smelly waste to rot either on their streets or in the neighbourhood. Does anyone even try to clean that up? Is that a sign of a neat and clean country that our Qaid envisaged? Much more, our rasulallah SAW once said “Cleanliness is half of faith” .this is NOT cleanliness. And if anyone tries to do it, people discourage him/her saying ” yahan koi nahi kerta” ( Nobody does this here). Atleast have some shame and help in the good cause.
  • b)Selfishness & greed- What we want for ourselves do we even try to think the same for those around us? I once heard some aunty not wearing a lawn suit because her maid had the same print. Seriously? Rasulallah SAW is reported to have said “None of you will have complete faith till he wishes to have  for his brother what he likes for himself” So why the attitude? Similarly in many trivial matters, this disease is affecting the nation of pakistan and spoiling them on a huge scale. Which is why we see an uprise in so many criminal cases and what not
  • c)Ignorance,Illiteracy&Continuation to live in old and pagan rituals Women being treated like scum by men because “mard mard hota hai” instead of respecting her and treating her like a princess/queen like the prophet SAW did. Sheer ignorance of many important matters and no education *by choice* is the root cause of many ill practices. We should educate ourselves in both the religion and the worldly education to make our country better afterall the nation’s best assets lies in the educated class doesnt it?
  • d)Unity,Faith and Discipline-where art thou?- I loved this principal of Qaid yet it is now as if it is invisible. People break away from lines, break rules out of sheer pride and ‘fun’. if someone stops at a signal whenit is RED people honk at you from behind as if you did something highly despicable. No respect for law and citizens. And most importantly , Disunity. Disunity in many minor things which leads to major stuff but why? We are an Ummah first of all where we come united already but apart from that our identity, THAT unites us doesnt it? Yet people divide themselves into “Khite” “Punjaban KURI” and have no respect for any other cultural background.

Pakistan was built on the soil that was wet with the sweat, blood and sacrifices of our ancestors who just wanted their future generation to have a land full of peace, security and justice. To be able to bow down to their Lord and have no fear for being slaughtered like an animal. For being able to voice out a plea for justice and not to worry about the family being put into danger. For being able to share the love of being Pakistanis and not being dragged and tortured for daring such a thought.

Lets make a promise to ourselves atleast to start off with the minor things, to GIVE to pakistan when it needs donations of kindness and love that IMF cannot give at all. If someone litters the streets, stop them. If someone does injustice atleast strive to make it better. If someone asks you to bribe them with money or favors so that you can get a job, walk away from it.If someone breaks a rule, YOU follow it and set up an example. Remember, allama iqbal and qaid e azam were only 1 person who brought about a revolution. Now its our Turn 😉

Pakistan Zindabad.. Pakistan painda baad INSHALLAH ❤

O you who believe!Let not a group scoff at another group,it may be that the latter are better than the former; nor let (some)women scoff at other women, it may be that the latter are better than the former, nor defame one another, nor insult one another by nicknames. How bad is it, to insult one’s brother after having Faith [i.e. to call your Muslim brother (a faithful believer) as: “O sinner”, or “O wicked”, etc.]. And whosoever does not repent, then such are indeed Zalimun (wrong-doers, etc.).[Surah Al Hujuraat ayat 11

I am pretty sure, all of us , in our lives, have been subjected to a lot of name calling by bullying class mates, peers or friends out of fun. Many of us must have done that to others out of pure hurting intention or to casually label someone because we think they ARE that and so on.
It is a very dangerous problem that exists within us today.. many Pakistanis, our elders or the people we interact with, casually label someone based on their religious belief or practices.

If someone practices what is right and forbids what is wrong based on the basic principles of shari’ah,quran and sunnah, he/she is labelled a wahabbi or an extremist or a backward person. On the other hand if someone does something wrong and someone who does have the correct knowledge corrects him/her so harshly and goes to the length of offending him/her by calling names or labelling with stereotypes.

Sounds pretty wrong doesnt it? But it is even more wrong because when the Propeht SAW was forbidden by Allah SWT for passing judgements OR making the decision of who will enter jannah o jahannum (Paradise or Hell) then who are we? If Allah SWT Himself mentions in the Qur’an:-

“And (there are) others who have acknowledged their sins, they have mixed a deed that was righteous with another that was evil. Perhaps Allah will turn unto them in forgiveness. Surely, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful .” Surah Al-Tawbah ayat 102.

Then why are we so confident about the final outcome? So today if you are labelled something nasty, been called a wahabbi because you implement the quran and sunnah strictly or raise your hands while  Salah, or  as a hypocrite or anything that does not befit you in anyway… be happy because Allah SWT has done extreme justice to this case as well.Lets take a quick example:-

Person A backbites about Person B for acting too pious when he is not. As he does it, the good deeds of Person A transfers straight in to the account of Person B and he gets his good deeds whereas the bad deeds of Person B go in the account of Person A 🙂 talk about balancing equations :p

And as for those who label others out of pure mockery and out of sheer know-it-all-ness should know that it just harms them. Today if we point a finger at someone 4 fingers point back at us. It is not for us to decide who is on the right path and who isnt, in such a fragile state of the Muslim ummah, each one of us should be more focused on helping each other to become one and united rather than discouraging someone to follow what is the right thing.

Narrated by Abu Huraira

The Prophet said, “Beware of suspicion, for suspicion is the worst of false tales; and do not look for the others’ faults and do not spy, and do not be jealous of one another, and do not desert (cut your relation with) one another, and do not hate one another; and O Allah’s worshipers! Be brothers (as Allah has ordered you!”) [Sahih Bukhari]

The worst 30 minutes

It was after the end of the first roza (fast) and I was getting ready to leave for Salat ul Isha ( the Isha Prayer) . It was slightly raining outside and as usual I was just ignoring it like it was something VERY normal. And so it seemed.
Within a minute, there was this loud bang which was actually the sound of thunder. Usually I love thunderstorms, the moderate noise of the thunder and the lightening makes me all awww and wow-ish but this time it was so different. Within minutes I was crouching to a corner with my fingers in my ears and whimpering like a stranded cat. Funnily enough, my 5 month old kitten was all calm and playing around and whenever there was this big bang of thunder she would run towards the place where the sound came from.

But while I sat on my couch all jumpy and scared by the deathly sounds of thunder, all I could pray was for Allah SWT to have mercy on me and to save me from His Anger. We, humans, are so helpless. Things happen in front of us and we cannot do ANYTHING to prevent it. No matter how much we progress in terms of technology or science, in the end of the day we are just humans and the power of God is Eternal and Majestic. The thunder and lightening, who has control over it? Only Allah SWT does.. if He wills, He could avert it and make the lightening fall on some house or a tree (which happened once and the tree was in tatters). But no, Allah SWT is Rahman ( The Most Gracious)  He saves us from His anger and reminds us so that we may be amongst those who repent and ask His forgiveness. All these signs in this world are for us to take heed from and repent before it is too late. Before we stand infront of our Lord in need of his Mercy and forgiveness and Allah forbids that does not happen then where will we end up?

12. It is He who shows you the lightning, as a fear (for travellers) and as a hope (for those who wait for rain). And it is He Who brings up (or originates) the clouds, heavy (with water).

13. And Ar-Ra’d (thunder) glorifies and praises Him, and so do the angels because of His Awe, He sends the thunderbolts, and therewith He strikes whom He wills, yet they (disbelievers) dispute about Allah. And He is Mighty in strength and Severe in punishment.

Surah Ar-Ra’d ayats 12-13

You call yourself Pakistani… on what grounds?

I hear my national anthem almost every month. Its kind of a stupid thing I guess, but it keeps my love intact for Pakistan. It is true that in some blogs of mine I have shown that I have given up for a better Pakistan and sometimes I have expressed hope in it. Maybe I do sound like a two faced Pakistani or maybe someone not sure of the future of Pakistan..but my love for Pakistan is just so much its kind of hard to describe..

I get jealous when some other country/nation tries to overcome something my country is good at. I scrunch my face into a snarl or grunt in disagreement when someone bashes my country. I feel anger towards the people of my country when they try to impose their meaning of Pakistan and end up making fun of it.
My post today is not going to be something every Pakistani would like. It will hurt sentiments which are not basically yours or mine in particular but something that is NOT ours at all.
I came across some tagged friend’s friend’s album who had a ‘beach party’ in karachi and over there were a night dance club.Going through the pictures I found ultimate beyhoodgi(immodesty) and stuff that is well..despicable. Some week ago I watched a trailer of  a movie coming out in Pakistan.. BOL in which a very famous singer was seen singing in a crowd of mixed gathering that was busy dancing and having ‘fun’. I see muslims and specially Muslim Pakistanis involved in bollywood gossip and addicted to their films/songs/lifestyles. Heck they even speak like them “Me ko tera jaisa kapra chahye” ” Me ko bhi do” “Oh how naughty!!” etc etc. I see Pakistani models adapting the lifestyle of west and portraying it under the name of Pakistan Fashion Industry. I see the youth of Pakistan involved in such deplorable acts that make my head bow down in shame.. forget the free mixing of genders (apart from school/colleges/universities) but what other things they waste their time in..bribery/gambling and other heinous or immodest acts.

My question is.. is this your identity?Today if a Pakistan vs India cricket match comes up, the whole nation starts bashing indians and call them names and show pride by painting their face green and white. People would come out on streets and wave the flag just for 1 GAME ( I am a cricket fanatic). But after that?Who are we? Are we a bunch of western copy cats who would blindly adapt whatever they do or think or believe in? People wear such tight an revealing clothes just like some random blondes would. They SPEAK like them

” hahaha i know haha so?haha okay ill see you haha byee haha”
“great.. i wake up late get into an accident and arrive late to class.. FML”
“aww.loveyou too c: / (: ”

They take pictures like them with one hand in their hair and their face formed into one pendu *stupid* pout trying to be some models which they obviously cannot be.
Where is the influence coming from?! Why do we have to follow and adapt their principals of life in every single thing. Dressing up like them * i am not against jeans or shirts but over here i am talking about topless, tanktops, tight fitting and immodest clothing*, speaking like them, taking pictures like them, implementing their messed up stuff and then go around waving flags of Pakistan? Chanting meaningless support for Pakistan ?

“Parcham e sitaar o hilaal” This line from the national anthem talks about Pakistan’s flag not India, not US or UK ..NOT malaysia or egypt but PAKISTAN. Qaid’s Pakistan. The Pakistan our ancestors fought for.

What will you, oh youth of Pakistan, do for your country when your acts are drenching with immaculate adaptation  of other cultures and tradition? How do you expect prosperity in your country when you are busy bringing in other traditions that do not suit the motto and basic intention Pakistan was built on?Do you even know on what Pakistan was built on?
We have great talent in every single thing. When this country can raise stars like Imran Khan, Shoaib Akhtar, Shahid Khan Afridi.. when this country can have the world’s best and delicious tasting mangoes..when this country can have a deep sense of moving forward..then this country is capable enough to live and bring forth generations after generations that survive on the cultures of Pakistan ONLY and not other traditions.

It hurts to see fellow Pakistani men and women involved in a lifestyle that hardly does anything for Pakistan. We are busy profiting other countries while our mother country is on thin threads of life. Save it before its too late..

“Saya e Khuda Zul jalaal” Pakistan Zindabad ❤

Summer begins

Peace be on all the fellas out there!

Hope y’all doing good and enjoying the heat of summer. Its clocking over 95 degrees Fahrenheit and people are going crazy. Literally crazy :p.
As for me it just results in more skin problems. Ever since I have moved in here my skin has really not adjusted to the environment. I never knew skin had feelings :p or maybe my skin is a special one who knows? But the fact that I cannot even stay in the sun for even 5 mins without risking a horrible sun burn outbreak is really annoying. I use a sunsceen with SPF 70 so you can imagine how bad my skin is in summers.I think Dubai jinxed it when i was leaving it because it never happened there 😦

Changing tracks, I finally got a kitten called Bon Bon. She is one adorable lump of fur and although she bit my lips this morning and continues to act like a Ninja kitty, there is no doubt that my love for cats can ever subside. I would suggest everyone to have a kitten because the things they do is SO CUTE! You cant ever stop loving them <3. Here is how she looks like :p

Bon Bon aka Bonnie

So my semester is over and I am swatting flies to kill time :p its funny how everyone wishes for more time and when they get it they misuse it. I am included in ‘everyone’ as well. But its scary if you ever think about it that once you arequestioned about where did your time go you wont be able to actually keep a record of it … its about time we all start utilizing our time properly before its too late.
I really do not have anything to say but this blog entry is just to keep this blog alive. Just a few reminders to those who actually read my blog *knock knock?* that ramadan is around the corner

and we really need to make sure we have a good plan for ramadan. Just think of which duas you need to ask Allah for. I know mine *yay* so im going to stress on that inshAllah :p

So thats it, advanced Ramadan kareem but there will be a blog entry specially for that =D inshAllah! See you guys soon!
Masalam 🙂

With you always, Pakistan Cricket Team!

Afridi has been like the Lion leading his pride

It has been just 3-4 hours since pakistan cricket team’s latest and astounding victory against the Australians and till now I am just reminiscing  the whole match.

This world cup looks FEELS different. Something about this whole tournament sends signals that this time, after many years, something different will happen, something spectacular something worth remembering this world cup for. And so far it has been true, we can see events unfolding in such a manner. A tie between India and England? Bangladesh defeating England? Ireland..a minnow chasing 300? WOW! So basically we all know that hopefully this year, it will be a new WC champion for a change.

Being a die hard cricket fan for almost 7 years now, I cannot imagine missing out any match of Pakistan… I could list the extent of crazy things I have done to express my love for Pakistan team * not to forget scribbling the names of pakistani players and drawing slogans of support at the back of my examination paper*.

Over the recent years, Pakistan cricket had  suffered the ill fate due to the politics played by the board. Just like the current political instability , the governing board of Pakistan cricket board played a pivotal role in making the fate look exactly the same. However, it is very surprising that even then [MashAllah] Pakistan team has proven to be worth the team to play against! True that Pakistan cricket had a dark period surrounding them..controversies,speculations,consiststent change of captains and player politics . Not to forget the horrifying incident that took away the right to host World cup. But despite all these hurdles, Pakistan cricket team appeared to come out stronger and mightier.

Pakistan is an unpredictable team no doubt and yes Pakistan has lost matches it was about to win. But the numerous amount of times they have given us happiness when things looked bleak for the country as a whole and how records that were deemed as impossible to break were broken by this team.. I think, I, as an individual, could not ask for more.

Although I do daydream and pray like a crazy fanatic for Pakistan to bring the cup home , I will always support my team :). A team that just ended  the 34 match winning streak of  defending WC champions for 3 years, can do ANYTHING, ANYTIME and ANYWHERE 🙂

The Pride of Pakistan lies in the players who value it the most
